Dear Chorale Members,

 

It is the time of year when we think of those we love by giving gifts. We
also become aware of those who are hurting for a variety of reasons which
brings to mind the Mc Coy family, Susan and Mike and their 4 children. (In
case you may be new to the chorale, Susan is one of our very faithful
altos...her husband, Mike, read the "Prodigal Son in the key of F" at a
recent concert.)  

 

Mike and Susan were laid off of their jobs some 5 months ago and despite
Mike's persistent job search, he has not been able to find work. Three of
their 4 children have severe medical needs with expensive medications. They
are to the point where money is not available for groceries and some of our
dedicated people are bringing in food for the family. Susan is still
unemployed as well.

 

Thought has been given to helping out Susan and Mike this Christmas with the
hope that the Chorale may be willing to reach out to this special family in
their time of need.

 

If you wish to participate, money or gift cards may be given to purchase
gifts for the children at the discretion of Susan and Mike. They know best
what is needed. Money or gift cards may be given to Yvonne Olson until
12/12, which will then be given to Susan. (Susan will not be attending the
Dolce Vita concert, 12/10.)

 

In addition, a food shower is planned for the McCoy's as part of our
Christmas party at the Cochran's on Sunday, Dec. 17th. Please bring your
food gifts (cash or food gift cards) to the party.
