Hello Chorale,

I wanted to thank all you who participated in Friday's concert at Sunland
Village. We had 43 singers and about 180 in the very enthusiastic audience.
The activity director informed me after the concert that, "This was new
record..only 2 people left prior to the end." She said that usually about
half the folks leave after an hour. You must have been doing something
right! Many folks expressed their appreciation and their enjoyment of the
concert. The activity director said she would definitely be contacting us
about concerts in the future.

Thanks for your enthusiasm, smiles, and your right notes. Even though the
room was somewhat acoustically-challenged, and the piano was a bit soft
(Barb almost strained her hands trying to play louder), you still sounded
great. Even folks sitting in the very back of the room indicated that they
could hear well.and understand the words. The Joy of the Lord is our
Strength!

I sure appreciate you all, and enjoy the opportunity to work with you.
Thanks for your support, your sacrifice, and your enthusiasm. It's a real
honor and privilege to be associated with each of you. As I looked at you
during the concert, I was reminded again of how the Lord uses different
parts of the 'body' to accomplish His work. You are ALL important!

Upcoming Stuff:

1) Concerts on the afternoon of July 29th in Scottsdale

2) Concert on Sunday evening, August 19th at Scottsdale Nazarene. This
church probably has the best acoustics of any place we ever get to sing.
It's easily accessed from the Loop 101 and would be a great place to invite
friends and family. We'll probably sound better at that location than just
about anywhere. Please try to keep that date open if at all possible.and
avoid being sick:-)

3) December concerts:

a. December 2nd - two afternoon concerts

b. December 9th - 6:00 PM concert at Crossroads Nazarene.

c. December 16th - 7:00 PM concert at Mesa Regal RV Park (not a joint
concert with mesa regal choir).

I'm letting you know about the dates 5 months ahead of time so you can plan
accordingly. I would like to encourage everyone to try to participate in
the Dec 9th concert at Crossroads if all possible. The Crossroads pastor,
board, and staff have been very gracious to us for 8 years.allowing us to
rehearse, helping to store risers, giving us the portable step-risers (each
one valued at $85), etc.. Hopefully, it will be an opportunity to minister
to the church with Christmas music.

Currently we have the following: 13 Basses / 9 Tenors / 15 Altos / 17
Sopranos--> total = 52. Remember that our goal is to have more basses and
altos than the other sections. However, we could use a good Tenor or two if
you know of any:-)
Be sure to get to know our newer members: Denise Tucker, Karen Rudin, Lora
Doncea, and Ron Steele.

I guess that's all for now.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

--Bruce
