Hello Chorale Friends,

 

Just a word of thanks for your continuing support of the chorale.  It's hard
to believe that at this week's rehearsal. in the middle of July. we had 50
singers!  It was an incredibly good rehearsal.  I can recall when we were
doing well to have 20-30 during July.

 

Along those lines, we now have close to 60 singers that are active (for the
most part:-)). The choir is composed of 14 Basses / 9 Tenors / 16 Altos / 19
Sopranos.  We probably don't need to be recruiting too additional
singers.unless they are exceptionally talented (in which case, we'll find
room).or unless you've already asked them.  

There are several folks who have already indicated that they would like to
sing with us, so I'm pretty sure we will achieve 60 singers in the very near
future. (Plus the winter visitors who begin to return in September).  If we
have more than 60, it gets very difficult to seat everyone in the choir
room.if we fill every chair, we can get 62 in the room.I suppose I could add
another row on the floor, but it will get cozy.    

 

Yes, I know, it's a nice problem to have:-)
