Good Morning Chorale,
Thanks to everyone who participated in Sunday's concerts. The concerts
were very well received and much appreciated by the residents of the
care centers. Some comments we heard, "I feel like I've been to
church", "Wonderful blend", "I'm glad I got to hear this today," "You
made me cry when you sang 'I love you'."
Thank you for sharing your lives and your Sunday afternoons to make a
difference in others' lives. There were lots of tears during Written in
Red as you sang. I want to continue to encourage you to memorize Written
in Red. It's much more effective when you can sing it directly to the
folks...rather than looking at the music. Thanks to many of you who
already sing the song by memory. Keep up the good work.
Questions to consider: Which song did you like the best? Which one
did the audience like the best?
As I mentioned at rehearsal last week, our son Tim is installing wood
floors in several parts of our house....so, for the next several days, I
will not be able to get to the room where my computer is located at
home. Hence, please correspond with me at bruce.cochran at gdc4s.com (my
work email).
I look forward to a great rehearsal this coming Tuesday. We will have 4
guests from out-of-town, and 2 or 3 folks who have indicated they would
like to see what the group is like. Be sure to introduce yourselves,
show them tricky parts of songs, help them to locate the restrooms etc.
You may be tempted to think, "no one will miss me if I'm not there...my
contribution doesn't really matter. That's simply not true. Every one of
you are on the A-team!
See you Tuesday,
Bruce
Quote for the day:
"It doesn't take a lot to make me happy. I like to work out. I like to
play ball. I like to spend time with my friends.
I like to make myself better every day. I like to try to learn. It
doesn't take money to do that." --- Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns player
