[EastValleyChoraleMaillist] CONCERT CANCELLATION!!!

Hello Chorale,

 

For the first time in our 8-year history, we've had to cancel the concert.
It was scheduled for this Sunday, March 25 at Sunland Village in Mesa.

The activity director called Tuesday to inform us that she wanted to cancel
the concert because of a small turn-out based on preliminary indications of
attendance (only 27 folks had indicated they were attending). She said it
would be a financial burden to go on with the concert (not because the
chorale) because she has to pay facilities folks to set up tables, chairs,
risers, etc.  She enjoyed our concert last year and would like us to sing in
the future when she has a 'better' activity planned (such as a pie social,
etc) and can get a better turn-out.

 

Thanks for your understanding. We have to trust that the Lord leads us where
He wants (or doesn't want) us to sing.  

 

I also want to thank Yvonne, Emi, Susan, Evie, and Brian (and any others who
helped) for their contribution to our 8-year (surprise) anniversary party
held after rehearsal this past Tuesday. It was fun to share some of the
stories associated with how folks joined the Chorale. Thank you all for your
encouragement and participation. I am thankful to the Lord for His constant
leading and His enabling/allowing us to serve together.and have a great time
in the process!

 

I appreciate you all and count it a privilege to work with you.  Thanks for
sharing your enthusiasm, talent, and cooperative sprits with us all.
