A NEW ACCOMPLISHMENT!
I know it may be hard to believe (for those of you who missed last
night's rehearsal) but we actually rehearsed every song that I put out.
It has never happened before... Considering that we had 19 songs, that
was pretty amazing.  It was one of the best, most-productive rehearsals
we've ever had.  Thanks for your cooperation and enthusiasm.  So many
great songs...so little time!  

I cannot think of a group of people that I'd rather be with than you!

NEW MEMBERS
Be sure to introduce yourself to our members who have joined recently:
Sharon Adams - soprano (joined last night)
Carl Cross - bass (joined last night)
(considering this was their first rehearsal, it was, as they say, a
"drink from a fire hose")

Barb Knaggs, and Alison Walker - both sopranos who've joined within the
last several months.

LAST WEEK's CONCERTS:
Thanks to everyone who participated last Sunday. Many folks expressed
their appreciation and enjoyment of the concerts.  You may be tempted to
think we're not making much of a difference, but to those 65 folks, we
made a big difference. One older gentleman said, "That's the best thing
I've heard for many years."  Another man (the one who was openly weeping
during our first concert) said, "they sound great....and what's more
they mean what they're singing."

Thanks to all the men (and women) who lugged the 'steps' around to and
from the concerts. It really made a big difference...I could see the
back row much better. It also keeps the group more 'connected'.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
1) Patti Kroeger - having shoulder surgery this week. Pray for wisdom
and accuracy by the doctors and rapid healing.
2) Catherine Back's husband - looking for a new job.  Pray that God will
provide a great job and that need will be met in the meantime.
3) Susan and Michael McCoy - Michael is looking for employment. Pray for
wisdom and direction.
4) Upcoming concerts - pray that God will lead us to the
locations/churches/care centers where we can be the most effective.
Pray for Yvonne as she makes dozens of calls to and visit with activity
directors, as she sends posters, makes follow-up calls, asks that the
a/c be set to a cool temperature, etc., etc., etc.
