Dear Chorale,

 

As you may know, Susan McCoy (one of our altos), and her husband Michael,
both lost their jobs 9 months ago; Michael has not been able to find work
since then. He has been pursuing work daily, but has been unsuccessful.
During several interviews, he was told that he is over-qualified for the
position. 

 

Their financial situation has become serious. This month's rent has not been
paid and other bills are piling up; groceries are scarce.  In addition to
financial challenges, they are facing numerous other trials.  

 

We would like take a love offering to support them. If you would like to
help the McCoys, Brian and Beverly Johnson have offered to accept donations
at Sunday's concert or rehearsal next Tuesday. 

 

Please keep the McCoy family in your prayers.  Occasionally, we are tempted
to go to prayer as a last resort. Pray specifically: pray that Michael can
find a job that will supply their needs; pray that their family will have
the faith and grace to face trying times; pray that available resources will
stretch in unusual ways; pray that the Lord will protect them all from
discouragement.  For the next week, let's try to pray at least once per day
for the McCoys.
