Hello Chorale,
I wanted to inform you of an upcoming change that will affect the East
Valley Chorale sometime within the next several months...
Crossroads Nazarene Church is expanding its prayer ministry and as a
result, will be constructing a prayer-chapel that will be
accessible/available 24 hours/day 7 days/week.
The room that has been selected for this new prayer chapel is the choir
room where we currently rehearse.
Although we can rehearse in the Crossroad sanctuary temporarily, there
are several drawbacks for that situation:
1) We would have to sit on the floor level and the piano will be on the
stage...pretty far from the singers....
2) All singers are sitting on the same level....not a great rehearsal
situation.
3) Difficult to hear the parts
4) Large room to heat/cool...
5) The room will not always be available...there are conflicts at least
once/quarter and we would have to find another location
6) Not sure about where we can store our music
Bottom line: We will need to locate a new rehearsal location.
Do any of you have suggestions for a new 'home'?
Here are some ideal requirements:
1) Need to comfortably sit 60-70 singers plus small orchestra
2) Prefer multi-level seating (not all on the same level)
3) Should be 'centrally located'...not way east ...or way south....way
north...etc (Chandler would be desirable)
4) Need room to store our music (take a look in the music library to see
how much we have to store!)
5) Room with good acoustics would be a real 'plus'
6) Accessible every Tuesday night...with as few conflicts as possible
(year-round)
7) Rent-free (or at least very low-rent)
I realize this feels like a large obstacle, but be praying and have
faith. As an old song says, "He didn't bring us this far to leave us."
This change will not happen prior to Christmas, but I have a feeling
that construction will happen early in the next year, so we have to get
moving soon.
Thanks for your support, prayer, ideas, suggestions, faith....
Bruce

Lyrics:
Chorus:
He didn't bring us this far to leave us
He didn't teach us to swim to let us drown
He didn't build His home in us to move away
He didn't lift us up to let us down
There are some promises in a letter
Written a long, long time ago
They're not getting older, they're getting better
Because He still wants us to know
Chorus
I read those promises in His letter
And now I claim them for my own
Filling my heart and making life better
And I just wanted you to know
Chorus
Never use the word defeat
Claim His promises, every one of them
And every spoken word He'll hear
Because we're everything to Him
